Original Candy House is an independent archive of classic American candy: when each candy came out, who made it first, who makes it now, and whether you can still buy it.
We started it because the answers were scattered across old articles, company sites and forum threads, and many of them disagreed. Every candy page here links to the source we used, and we say so when a date is not recorded.
We are not a candy company and we do not sell candy. We are not connected to any of the brands on this site. Brand names belong to their owners. Our candy pictures are our own illustrations, not the real wrappers.
